What do we expect from you?

We are seeking a top performing Senior Account Executive for our growing sales team. This is a field-based role that includes both hunting new business and growing existing accounts, with an emphasis on large scale, industrial plant production solutions.

Agronomic background is preferred, experience selling technology or a complex product into the Agricultural space is ideal. As a Senior Sales Executive, you work together with our team in Belgium to offer the optimal solution for your clients. You report the commercial status to the Management.

  • End-to-end responsibility for the entire sales cycle.
  • Identify, develop & close high value deals.
  • Convert sales leads into qualified sales opportunities through active prospection.
  • Grow and manage the pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals for indoor vertical farming solutions.
  • Maintain a close relationship with our clients.
  • Represent the company at trade-shows and conferences
  • Cultivating personal network to drive lead generation activity

General requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of field based B2B sales experience with a background in agricultural sales and/ or technology sales strongly preferred.
  • You’re a hunter who knows how to sell products new to the market. This is an evangelical sale where. sales professionals who just ‘take orders’ will struggle to succeed.
  • You have a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
  • Experience managing a large geographic territory and customer base is preferred.
  • Agronomic background preferred, enthusiasm for AgTech space a must.
  • Experience working in a ‘start-up’ type environment is preferred.
  • You describe yourself as eager to learn, flexible and motivated. You work structured and have eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring varied solutions into undeveloped territories and customers. Dynamic. ability to work across industries and rapidly acquire domain knowledge.
  • Self-starter who is able to work in a ‘roll up your sleeves’ environment.
  • Good grasp for explaining technical concepts simply, very strong communication skills.
  • Extremely organized and proficient at pipeline management and follow-up.
  • Good computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Business Apps/CRM tools.
  • Skilled in successfully handling complex selling situations and negotiations; as well as consultative & strategic selling techniques.
  • Fluent in Business English.
